Going away for a few days.

I’m going to Innsbruck in Austria with two friends tomorrow until the weekend. I’m so excited to go since I haven’t been away from home for such a long time (at least that’s what it feels like.) Our train ride of about 8 hours is going to be so much fun… ahhh, I’m so excited, I love it.

Yes, I’m obsessed.

I don’t know what it is but I have been watching and listening to Marilyn Monroe a lot lately. I’ve seen almost all her films now and put some of her songs on my iPod. Oh, and let’s not forget about “My week with Marilyn” with Michelle Williams that I also saw recently. But the one thing that really got me was reading her “Fragments” (I have the German version called “Tapfer lieben”, duuh!) It is so intriguing that I spent nights lying awake thinking about what she wrote. Even if the book isn’t able to tell us anything about Marilyn we didn’t know from one of the thousand documentaries or other sources it becomes more real since you really see her writing and her own words in the book. I’ve almost finished the book now and already plan to buy one of the other million books written about her. I’m actually thinking about getting the one that’s written from the perspective of her dog. Although that sounds a little… weird.

Vapianooo!!!

Today I had lunch at Vapiano with my parents and it was deeelicious. I can never decide what I want because everything tastes divine at that place. I was too hungry/lazy/etc. to take a photo myself but sharing stuff is always good so here we go with this absolutely random and useless post. Have a great weekend!

Been listening to Amy lately,

…and missing her terribly.

It’s so sad to see people struggle but they are just so caved into their own misery. Amy once said “if you can’t sort something out for yourself, no one can help you.” And that’s a sad truth. Some people carry so much misery and misfortune in themselves they just don’t stand a chance when it comes to living in this world.
